Cedric Vidal

Cedric is a French-born Business Intelligence Developer based in Cape Town, South Africa, with a passion for technology, data, travel, and thoughtful planning.

As someone who loves exploring new destinations, Cedric has always approached travel the same way he approaches technology projects: by thinking through every detail before departure. From budgets and itineraries to transport options, accommodation, attractions, packing lists, and contingency plans, he believes that careful preparation leads to more enjoyable and stress-free journeys.

Travelling with family, however, introduced a new level of complexity. Coordinating multiple people, balancing interests, managing budgets, booking events, tracking documents, and ensuring that nothing is forgotten often meant using a combination of spreadsheets, notes, booking websites, maps, and travel apps.

After repeatedly facing the challenges of managing travel plans across multiple disconnected tools, Cedric set out to build a better solution.

VoyageCompass was born from a simple idea:
